Senior Communicator Wanted at Stockholm Vatten och Avfall

Stockholm Vatten och Avfall is a vital societal builder delivering efficient and sustainable water and waste services – for today's and future Stockholmers. Every day, year-round, we supply 1.6 million Stockholmers with clean and good tap water, treat wastewater, and ensure waste is handled properly. Together with residents, businesses, and other stakeholders, we work towards making Stockholm the world's most sustainable city.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced strategic and operational communicator. You are responsible for coordinating the communication that supports one of our socially vital services. You coach and develop managers and employees in their communicative roles, and maintain an active dialogue with internal clients based on the organization's communication needs. Additionally, you work both strategically and operationally with communication support. This includes everything from communication plans and larger campaigns to web texts and various materials.

In the coordination role, you lead and distribute incoming communication needs within a small group of communicators to ensure holistic delivery.

You collaborate closely with the operations in your area where communication creates value and utility for our customers and influences behavior.

We focus heavily on digitizing our processes and would appreciate if you have experience with process-oriented working methods with the goal of improving the customer journey.

The position is located in the Marketing and Communications Unit, which consists of 18 employees, with the main workplace at our headquarters in Ulvsunda, Bromma.

Examples of tasks:

• Coordinates communicative needs within the assigned area.
• Plans and coordinates activities in close collaboration with unit managers and internal clients.
• Ensures processes, structures, and working methods to create efficiency.
• Analyzes communication needs, identifies target groups and channels, develops strategies, messages, and plans, and evaluates communication efforts.
• Writes, publishes, and produces communication materials, but is also a skilled buyer of various communication services from procured suppliers.
• Coaches and supports managers and specialists in their communication.
• Participates in various networks and collaboration groups.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are passionate about communication as a strategic tool to achieve goals and vision. You enjoy combining strategic and operational work and taking personal responsibility to drive assignments forward. You are a good stylist and have the ability to adapt messages to different target groups and channels.

As a person, you are structured, goal- and solution-oriented. You easily create good and long-lasting relationships internally and externally and have the capacity to support multiple assignments in parallel. You are a good team player with leadership qualities.

To succeed, you have:

• A university degree in communication or other relevant education.
• At least five years of experience in both strategic and operational communication work.
• Experience in leading projects or holding another coordinating or leadership role.
• Experience in ordering and following up on communication assignments.
• Experience in digital communication and digital communication solutions.
• Experience in change management.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good habit of working with social media as an integrated part of the communication work.
• Good knowledge of the laws and regulations governing the communication field, such as GDPR and the Accessibility Directive.
• Experience working in Adobe programs and web publishing tools, such as Episerver.

Meritorious:

• Experience in communication work within public operations.
• Experience in press and crisis management.
